Here are a couple of pics of Ellie's first swim(s). The first time was at my parent's house and she screamed bloody murder from the time her toe hit the water to 2 minutes later when I finally pulled her out. She loves being in her swimsuit (I think all kids do!) but hates sunscreen (since she has my skin I use SPF 50).
This is the only pic we could get of her at my parents. Andy is helping her stand on the side of the pool before getting her wet.
The next time we tried swimming was at the Johnson's. She did a little better, but it still took her awhile to enjoy it. The scowl didn't last too long!
As long as she was in daddy's arm and could see mom she was fine. Even started playing a bit.
We've been swimming a few time since, and we gotten her a floating device that she loves. She can sit or recline back in it and it also has a canopy over it so she doesn't get too much sun.
